M.S. in Psychology With a graduate degree in psychology, you’ll learn to think critically about psychological theory and conduct basic or applied research. Through Walden’s sequentially designed course model, you will engage in reflective learning and collaboration that will give you a solid foundation in psychological principles. You’ll also be able to use your M.S. in Psychology credits towards the completion of a Ph.D. in Psychology at Walden University. B. S. in Psychology Walden University's B.S. in Psychology program provides you with a broad understanding of psychology and its relevance in today's increasingly diverse and global society. You will apply psychological theories to current issues in psychology as you gain perspective in three vitally important areas: social awareness, responsibility, and civic engagement; cross-cultural competence; and evidence-based decision-making in an information-rich world. Psychology Note on Licensure The Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and School Psychology specializations are designed to prepare graduates to qualify to sit for psychology licensing exams. These specializations are designed to meet the academic licensure requirements of most state psychology boards. Walden University licensure specializations in psychology are not accredited by the American Psychological Association, which is a requirement for licensure in some states. Because no graduate psychology program can guarantee licensure upon graduation, we encourage students to consult the appropriate agency to determine specific requirements.
